Surgery Rehab
Surgery Rehabilitation Physiotherapy in Peterborough and Stamford
At our physiotherapy clinic, we work alongside the area’s top surgeons to give you the best recovery possible and get you back doing what you love. We are experts in knee and hip replacement rehab to get you back playing golf, walking the dog and being pain free. We also regularly see people following back operations, shoulder operations and many more.
Many clients see us a few days after surgery, but even if your surgery was a few months ago, you will still benefit from an appointment with our friendly team. Our treatment can get you moving better, settle any pain you have and build up your strength.
What happens at the physio appointment?
Firstly, you will talk to the physiotherapist about your surgery and what activities you want to get back to. For some clients this may be getting back to walking the dog, for others it will be getting back to work. Next, we will have a look at the scar, some movements and your strength.
After we will perform treatment. This will include some hands-on therapy to help improve movement and settle pain. We will give you advice on what to do and what not to do. We will show you some specific exercises to perform at home to speed up your recovery.
