Running injury Physiotherapy in Peterborough and Stamford

At Showler Physiotherapy, we are experts in treating running injuries and getting you back to running as quickly as possible. We will first assess and diagnose your problem before providing targeted treatment to speed up your recovery.

We help everyone from people new to running with knee pain to elite athletes representing the country. The sooner a running injury is assessed and treated, the faster your recovery is likely to be.

We are proud to be the highest-rated running injury clinic in the area. Using advanced treatment techniques and technology, we help you recover faster. You’ll also receive tailored exercises to treat your injury, improve your running technique, and reduce the risk of future injuries.

What Happens At The Physio Appointment?

Firstly, you will talk to the physiotherapist about your knee problem and how it impacts your life. For some clients this is not being able to run, for others it means being in pain sat at their desk. Next we will have a look at some movements of the knee and perform some easy tests.

We will then tell you in simple terms what is causing your issue and how we can fix it, no confusing medical terms, just simple English.

After we will perform treatment. This will include some hands-on therapy to help improve movement and settle pain. Specific exercises will be given to perform at home to speed up your recovery. Our clinic focuses in fixing pain short-term and preventing your issue from returning.
