We are proud to offer a home visit service for clients struggling to reach us in clinic. This is a great option if you are leaving hospital following after a surgery or are struggling with your walking at home. We can help you get your independence back.

What happens at the appointment?
We will come out to you at your home. Firstly, you can tell us about your problem and how it impacts your life. For some clients this is not having the balance to walk in the garden and for others they may struggle standing up from a chair.
Then we will carry out an assessment to figure out what is causing your issues.
We will then put together a plan to build your strength and confidence. Specific exercises will be given to speed up your recovery. We will discuss other ways you can improve including your diet and any equipment we feel may help.
Home physiotherapy after surgery and hospital
Leaving hospital after surgery is daunting. We will work with you to get you back on your feet and get your independence back. If you have a scar, we will make sure this is healing correctly. Our physio’s can advise you on the best ways to get out your chair, up off the toilet and in or out of bed. We will also work to get your walking back to normal, this may include advice on things including walking sticks. We will show you simple exercises to practice, making sure your muscles get stronger and your joints move better.
Home physiotherapy for older people
Many of our home visit clients struggle with their balance, walking and may also have pain. We will discuss these issues with you to find what is causing the problem. Following this we will advise if any walking aids or equipment may help you at home such as a walking frame of toilet frame. We will chat to you about your diet and if any improvement can be made to help. We will show you simple exercises to practice, making sure your muscles get stronger and your joints move better.
